Hi, I am RD Singh today I am going to tell you about that how can we use our debit card or credit card for international transactions, now a question is arising “what is international transaction” the definition is “An international transaction is a transaction that crosses national borders and often involves two different currencies, or three even, if a reserve currency, such as the U.S. dollar is used.” 

For example you are planning to have a trip of Singapore from India and if you want to purchase or use your debit or credit card in Singapore then your international transaction must be activated on your debit card. Each bank may be having some different procedure for enabling the international transaction on debit card but the basic steps are same the name of the options may be different.

Methods For Enabling International Transactions On Debit or Credit Card:-

In this article I will tell you two methods, in the first method you can enable your international transaction by your net banking and in second method you will get a virtual card for international transaction linked with your original credit card or debit card.

1. Enabling International Transactions By Net banking: - I will tell you that how to enable International Transactions in SBI net banking because this is the most popular bank in India and most of the people have account in SBI.

- Open your net banking with a valid user name and Password.

 - Click On E Services.

- Click On Atm Card Services and then Click on Atm card Channel Usage Change.

- Select your account number and click on Continue.

- Select your account number again, then select the option change usage type among three and click on submit.

- Select international usage, then click on enable international usage and enter your high security password, click on submit.

Your card is ready for international transaction you can use this card overseas.

2. How To Get Virtual Card For International transactions – There are many sites which provide this facility but the most popular is entropay follow the steps given below to get a virtual card from entropay.

- Go to www.entropay.com

- Sign Up on entropay to have a valid account on it.

- Click On Get Card.

- Enter the card details as shown on the page after clicking on Get Card.

- Select your currency you want and amount; On the other side enter the details of your original debit card.

- Click on confirm enter the amount you want in your virtual card and enter 3D secure OTP for transaction.

Your virtual card is ready you can use it internationally.
